THE TRAINS OF WINTER is a collection of winter time railroad footage that was shot in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, and Ontario, Canada from 1989 to 1995. The weather conditions range from frigid sunshine to blizzards. The classic railroads include: Duluth Missabe & Iron Range, Burlington Northern, LTV Steel Mining, Northshore Mining, Duluth Winnipeg & Pacific, Canadian National, Soo Line, Southern Pacific, Amtrak, Chicago & NorthWestern, Duluth & Northeastern, Wisconsin Central, Nicolet Badger Northern, Dakota Minnesota & Eastern, Green Bay & Western, Union Pacific, Lake Superior & Ishpeming, Algoma Central, Escanaba & Lake Superior, CP Rail and the Minnesota Dakota & Western.
