Great Burlington Northern Railroad action that travels across the former Great Northern Railway's Minnesota ore lines. Located on the famous Mesabi Iron Range, see the BN as they load ore cars with taconite pellets at both the Keewatin and Hibbing taconite plants. The BN's long and heavy ore trains then travel over 100 miles through the scenic Minnesota forest to reach their shipping port on the shores of Lake Superior at Allouez, Wisconsin. See the ship Mesabi Miner, a huge 1,000 foot ore boat that's arriving at the Superior Entry for loading at BN Dock 5. Also see a tribute to both the Great Northern Railway and the legendary ship, Edmund Fitzgerald. BN diesel power includes: GP9, GP10, SD9, SD40-2 and SD60M.
