See three fascinating shortlines as they switch cars and pull long trains of grain products and other general merchandise across the Twin Cities and throughout Central Minnesota. The St. Croix Valley RR operates a 36 mile freight line over former Northern Pacific trackage from a connection with the BNSF at Hinckley, MN. Plus their diesels wear a very attractive version of the 1960’s NP paint scheme. The Minnesota Commercial operates a switching, terminal and transfer railway that interchanges traffic with all Twin Cities railroads. The Northern lines operate two ex-Great Northern lines out of St. Cloud, MN and interchanges with the BNSF. The show ends with the Minnesota Zephyr who used classic F units on an elegant dinner train that ran out of Stillwater, MN and along the woodland bluffs of the St. Croix River Valley.
